The Bakery and Pastry Arts Management program is designed to provide graduates with the skills to effectively manage commercial bakery outlets. Students will expand their abilities to produce advanced commercial quantities of breads, rolls, sweet dough, savoury and sweet pastry, Danish and puff pastry, cookies, cakes and desserts. Students will also learn to manage materials purchasing and storage, product cost control and marketing, hiring and managing personnel.
Motorcycle and Powersports Product Repair Techniques
Motorcycle and Powersports Repair Techniques provides training based on the small engine and Level 1 Motorcycle technician apprenticeship curriculum, with some valuable additions leading to a Centennial College Certificate. In addition to the complete range of technical training, the course areas include workplace practices, welding, mechanical systems, health & safety in the workplace, computers, math, communications and potential certification in manufacturer parts and service online systems.
Our commitment to the pursuit of excellence in the delivery of education and training has lead to the assessment of the program by the Canadian Automotive Repair and Service Council (CARS). The CARS National Accreditation Board has endorsed the program’s full compliance with the national industry standards since 2001.
Heavy Duty Equipment Technician
This program will prepare you for an exciting future as a skilled professional in the heavy equipment field. The in-school training, combined with practical on-the-job experience that is gained in the co-op work placement will provide an excellent start to an apprenticeship.
Successful students will earn an Ontario College diploma, will have eight months of practical, on-the-job, co-op training at a heavy equipment facility and complete their entire Ontario apprenticeship in-school curriculum within two years. In addition, you will take courses in advanced electrical/ electronics, logistics, plus hoisting and rigging that is only available at Centennial.
Our Esthetician program will provide you with the knowledge and skills for spa applications, skin care and business operations. Graduates from this program are able to provide the entire range of professional services offered in today’s spas and the skills required to successfully operate a private business. Placement in both industry clinics and established businesses will allow you to learn in an atmosphere that builds the confidence and skills to enter this challenging and exciting career.
